"Call me crazy, but I want to buy the Dallas Cowboys end zone and have the star right at the foot of my bed. That way when I score, I can spike the ball right on the star!" -Woody Paige, Around the Horn 10.9.08
Clintwood 40 Lee 28 - Graham will run all over them but Clintwood's defense will make a few stops.
Rye Cove 21 Eastside 13 - The Cove stays unbeaten in the Cumberland. Are you kidding me, Rye Cove 5th in the western sect. in points.
TW 30 Haysi 22 - Haysi has some speed, likely not enough.
Sullivan North 31 Union 30 - Union is the toughest team North will play this year (in their regular season) and I think they squeak by.
Castlewood 28 Twin Valley 12 - Castlewood losing to Grundy last week was a shock to me. They rebound this week.
Central 35 Johnson County 16 - Central could possibly win this one even bigger if they play like last week.

Central Warriors. Respect the past, embrace the future
Lee vs Clintwood: I think this will be the game to watch this week. Lee's defense will be their weak point. Clintwood 35 Lee High 30
Eastside vs Rye Cove: Another district win for the War eagles. Cove 40 Eastside 21
Haysi vs Tom Walker: Haysi 36 Tom Walker 28
Union vs Sullivan North: Another tough loss for Union. Sullivan North 42 Union 27
Castlewood vs Twin Valley: Castlewood 35 Twin Valley 13
Central vs Johnson County: Another win for Central. Central 36 Johnson County 14
Good Luck to all the teams, leave it all out on the field!
J.M.O. but I think Clintwood has already faced the best running back in Sw.Va ...and that was the running back from Grayson County. This will be a tackle football game and not a flag football game and I believe Clintwood will be waaaaaaay more physical and active on defense than any other of the teams that Lee has played and they will run blitz a lot as well. I see Clintwood winning by 20 if Graham plays or not. Now if Clintwood turns the ball over like they have been, the outcome could be different but not likely.

Yes! TONIGHT, maybe not tomorrow night, but tonight Clintwood was more physical and dominant and active! Wasn't even a good match up!!
They gave up yards and points to 1 team and that was the top ranked D2 team in the state. Hazard got their points from a pick 6, a fg. and a KOR for a td. Their offensive points came after Clintwood turnovers in their own redzone. The only team that has put up any yardage to brag about this year was Grayson. Tonight was not a matchup at all and I thought Graham played scared after he got hit good the first of many times. I guess that helped with the 3 fumbles he had too. If not for the 70 yard run for a score early he'd have finished with about 50 yards and most of those coming after Clintwood started subbing.
